Your vehicle data stays under your control.

Information the app handles

T‑Scan Pro can handle vehicle telemetry, diagnostic trouble codes, supported PID information, vehicle identification details, app settings, maintenance records, diagnostic reports, trip history and, when you record a route, precise location coordinates.

This information comes from your compatible OBD‑II adapter, your device sensors, or information you enter in the app.

Where your data is stored

T‑Scan Pro stores its working data locally on your device. MK3 Design does not operate an account system or a server that receives your vehicle, diagnostic or trip data.

If iCloud backup is enabled, selected backups are saved to your private iCloud Drive at iCloud Drive › T‑Scan Pro › Backups. Apple processes that storage under your Apple Account and Apple's terms. MK3 Design cannot access your private iCloud Drive files.

How the information is used

• Display live vehicle readings and connection status.
• Calculate trips, alerts, trends and Vehicle Health results.
• Read diagnostic information and generate reports you request.
• Restore your settings, trips and diagnostics from your backups.
• Support CarPlay trip controls when the feature is available.

Sharing and tracking

T‑Scan Pro does not sell personal information. It contains no advertising SDK, cross-app tracking, marketing analytics or third-party account login.

Data leaves the app only when you choose an export or share action, save a backup to your iCloud Drive, or connect directly to your own OBD‑II adapter over Bluetooth Low Energy or local Wi‑Fi.

Device permissions

• Bluetooth and local network: used to connect to a compatible vehicle adapter.
• Location: used only to record a GPS route when trip recording is active and you have granted permission.
• Notifications: used for smart vehicle alerts that you configure.
• iCloud Drive: used for backups when you enable that option and are signed in to iCloud.

Your controls

You can turn route recording, notifications and iCloud backups on or off in the app or in iOS Settings. You can delete trip and diagnostic history in the app, remove backup files in the Files app, or remove locally stored app data by deleting T‑Scan Pro.

Diagnostic exports offer VIN redaction where applicable. Review an export before sharing it with another person or service.

Retention and security

Local records remain until you delete them, the app's configured retention rules remove them, or you uninstall the app. iCloud backups remain until you remove them from your iCloud Drive. T‑Scan Pro uses Apple platform protections and can use the optional in-app privacy lock, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

T‑Scan Pro is a vehicle diagnostics utility and is not directed to children. MK3 Design does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will always appear on this page.
